Aged Slimjim Rig

Here is a rig I´ve made, have shown the holster before. Its a little aged, but I didden know

how to age the brass buckle. Was going to drag it after the car on a dirt road but... No ;D

Henrik.....Nice looking rig you have there,,,,

Iffi'n you want to age the brass buckle , what i do is to remove the clear coating on the buckle, then wipe the brass with moist Black Powder after you have been shooting the gun.

To antique brass I found some brass antique at a woodworking supply store. Very simple to use.

I agree with Luke. Unfortunately (in my opinion), most hardware manufacturers lacquer brass hardware to PREVENT them from tarnishing. You have to use a sand-paper or steel wool to remove the clear lacquer coat, first. Following that the above ammonia method will work wonders.
