shannonc Report post Posted October 12, 2010 Hello! As I said I am from a verryy small town in Manitoba. I think our population has reached 225! I am a 23 year old farmgirl who was born and raised here. After high school I went our west to Calgary and trained and showed horses for Spruce Meadows in showjumping but I really missed the country and cowboy life style. After having a bad riding accident (breaking my leg in 8 places) I decided it was time to try something else and move back to help with the farm were I met my boyfriend(although we have known each other since we were 11) and we started a farm of our own, so far there is 100 cows, 22 horses (mostly heavy for farm chores and for a wagon outfitting business that his dad owns) pigs, chickens, dogs and a few cats. I have always loved sewing and got my first sewing machine at age 6 and decided that I would take over my father in laws business of making chaps and chinks. I am hoping to also get into horsemanship outfits and custom leather vests for showing. So these are a few of my first attempts at our basic chaps and chinks! Shannon The metallic is just a really light weight for mutton busting that Dustin does!

joquarter Report post Posted October 13, 2010 Love your chaps, and welcome. Sounds great for a dutchie , to hear about your farm. I live at the country , just have 3 horses, a dog and a few cat's . My nabours have meat bulls, think about 400. Here the farmers don't use horses , most of them even don't like horses.
