KT Good Report post Posted October 22, 2010 Some one told me a long time ago about a treatment for latigo that was to be used for saddle strings or braiding. It was using white gasoline and wax. I cannot remember the recipe, but I have used latigo after this treatment and it is amazing even after years of use. Has anyone done this before? roo4u Report post Posted October 24, 2010 in bruce grants book how to make cowboy horse tack...he talks about that...you shave some was into a jar of white gasoline, as much as will dissolve...then you soak your strings in it..cant remember how long...he says it sizes sleazy leather.
