Members ShortBBL Posted October 31, 2010 Members Report Posted October 31, 2010 I found a decent deal on a Holster and bought it, only to find out it had a masking tape "price tag" on the front! Ugh..... here is a picture of how it looks after I took the tape off. Any good ideas what might help to clean this off and then what to do to restore it to a good looking piece of leather? Thanks! Members tropicalbird Posted October 31, 2010 Members Report Posted October 31, 2010 try an eraser Quote
King's X Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 I use a gum eraser and it works quite well.....but caution, do not rub too hard or you will disburb the finish. You can try a bit of Goo-Gone, that should work without disturbing the finish. Good luck. Quote
Members js5972 Posted November 13, 2010 Members Report Posted November 13, 2010 I found some stuff called Elmer's Sticky Out at Office Max. Takes off masking & clear tape residue quite well from wood surface. I would definitely try it on the backside first to make sure it doesn't eat the finish. Also I've had some sucess with WD 40. dirtclod Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Fabric softner works pretty good to. Just get a little on your finger and rub lightly. But like one of the poster said try it on the back first. Quote
