Hey all, I am not a gun leather guy and I am booked up to boot. I Just purchased an RIA compact 1911 and I bought a Milt sparks CC IWB holster with it. I am looking for a verticle carry (preferably) shoulder holster. I was just curious if any of you gun leather gurus would be able to do this or not. If anyone is interested shoot me a pm and let me know what it would cost.

Thanks a bunch

Tim

One of the better vertical-carry shoulder holster designs over the past 40 years has been the Bianchi X-15 model. This is a vertical-carry with pull-through draw utilizing a heavy leather-covered spring to retain the weapon securely. These show up on eBay with some frequency. The size small should work well with your compact 1911.

I'd be asking myself, first of all, if such a compact pistol was worth wearing all that leather for.

And, secondly, if I would be willing to wear a jacket all the time.

Beyond that, I second Lobo's opinion.

Spokane, Washington. I am betting that a Jacket is worn more often that not almost year round. I know that up in Maine you can wear one almost year round without discomfort and at least 7 months out of the year a Denim jacket is pretty much common daily.

Thanks for the input Lobo, and as far as "all that leather" goes this is mainly for when I am horseback. It is a lot easier to carry up high when wearing chinks and tryin to rope somethin out in the brush. and yes I do need a jacket about 7 months out of the year (at least)

Thanks again for the input.
