I'm wondering if any of you place your blue (dummy) guns in the oven when you heat treat your leather holsters. I spoke with the guys at rings blue guns and they said it is comon for them to be heated well above the 120 degrees I would be using to stiffin up my holsters.

I do. I made a hot box with heat lamps. The box is about six feet tall and I hang the holsters at the top. The heat lamps are in the bottom of the box so it is well away from the heat source. I have only had problems with the s/w j frame mold. The trigger guard got deformed. All of the other molds seem to be built up in the trigger guard area.
