mooshi Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I currently have a Tippmann Boss leather stitcher. I was wondering which presser foot is best for sewing leather piping or welting. I am attaching the link for all the presser feet they carry. Tippmann presser feet Thanks in advance. Mooshi

But, it is not the same as having a real piping foot. A piping foot has a semi-round cutout in both pressor feet, on a walking foot machine, or on the left half of a single foot machine. This cutout allows the foot to ride on top of the welt as the needle sews right next to the right edge of the covered cord. A right toe foot is the next best option, but may need to be modified on a grinder to allow the left back side to clear the welt.
