How stable is the 1911, riding that high? I've been thinking about a high-ride design, to reduce the required length of a cover garment, but have been leery of it because of stability concerns.

Have done a couple for people and they have not had a problem at all with them that high

I like them both, the way the grip extends far enough out of the way of everything to get a "shooting" grip on there makes them prized for their down right usefulness as a carry holster.
