horsewreck Report post Posted January 17, 2011 I am restoring an old arab show saddle and I need some 3/16 white lace to buck stitch around the borders and can't find any. I also need some 5/16 or 3/8 white lace to connect the rear of the skirts. The buck stitch and wider lace are both around 2 1/2 oz. in thickness. If I can't find this stuff I will have to make it up and I don't want to do that..... Jeff

Jeff Try Y-Knot Lace 406-249-5225 PO Box 2158 Kalispell, MT 59903 Price is not cheap like Tandy as they are kangaroo lace, but the quality is great. I have been very pleased with their product. Billy P Report post Posted January 21, 2011 dYou might try U-Braidit or leathercordsusa. Both have web sites and may be able to custom cut the lace for you. I hope this helps. Billy P

George B Report post Posted January 25, 2011 I use the Tandy "Tejas" Florentine lace on saddles and such in a 3/16" and right now Tandy has it on sale at something like 14 or 15 dollars for 25 yards in white. Just ordered some in black and natural for 18 bucks a roll.
