Members QDaddy Posted January 28, 2011 Members Report Posted January 28, 2011 Today I ordered a SewPro servo motor for my Tacsew T111-155 from Cowboy Bob (Bob Kovar, Toledo Industrial Sewing Machines) and I can't wait. I have heard so many good things about this upgrade, but I know there are gonna be some tricks or other expertise you folks can share. Any help, advice, or comments would be appreciated. Q Quote

Q Did you order a shorter V-belt with it? You're going to need one. In my case, I replaced a clutch motor with a 2.5" pulley with a SewPro 500GR servo motor, touting a 2" pulley. I ended up requiring a V-belt 2 inches shorter that the original. The servo motor sits closer to the body than a clutch motor. If you neglected to get the belt with the motor, order one 1 inch shorter for just the motor, then another inch for each 1/2" difference in the diameter of the motor pulley. Quote
Members QDaddy Posted January 29, 2011 Author Members Report Posted January 29, 2011 I already had a 2" pulley on my clutch motor, so Bob said I wouldn't need another one. Thanks for the heads up, tho. Quote
Members QDaddy Posted February 3, 2011 Author Members Report Posted February 3, 2011 I can't believe the difference this SewPro makes. Thanks again, Bob. Wiz, you weren't kidding about the belt. I found a shorter one locally, so no biggie. Quote
