Luberto Classic Prices?

Recommended Posts

I have found several mentions of the Luberto Classic, both hand-crank and powered on this site with several references to "expensive" but I haven't found any ads online or in print that actually mention the price.

Does anyone know the current list prices for the hand-crank and powered Classics?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I'm just not sure. A few folks here have tried to get in touch with Tony of late with little if any success. He might just be on vacation or something; January and February are the pits in the sewing machine business. Generally, Classics are both motor and crank, you just have to pull a pin out of a pulley shaft in the back to change over.

I have an ASE No.9, which is quite similar, and the going price for a good one of those (used) is as high as $3,800. For that price, I would add a thousand or so and get a Campbell. Both machines will do harness all day, all night, they can do other work too.

Ron at Ferdco might know what Tony is up to.

Thanks Art. Now I have a frame of reference for the word "expensive" that I have seen used.

Last I heard the Classic was around 5k for the head and 6k with the stand and speed reducer, I have been trying to get in touch with Tony as I picked up a #9 off of here from Mike in Long Island and I want to get a left toe, and a raised throat plate... anyone have any accessories they want to part with for the #9?

The specs are the exact same as the classic, only thing different are the presser feet and some bushings and minor tweaks from what tony luberto told me. I run juki 441's and knock offs in my shop, so this beauty just sits!
