Members Babbs Posted March 5, 2011 Members Report Posted March 5, 2011 Being in Canada I'm finding it difficult to find a supplier for leather . Can someone from Canada , let me know from their experience , who is the best supplier to buy from that sells quality leather . My main interest in leather crafting is dog collars and purses. I would rather pay a bit extra for quality, I'm only interested in dealing with a supplier that I can rely on for quality. Also interested in where to buy quality hardware ? Just getting started it's difficult to know what suppliers are best, appreciate hearing all opinions, thank !! Quote
Contributing Member Denise Posted March 5, 2011 Contributing Member Report Posted March 5, 2011 Try Caledon Leather Sales in Calgary. http://www.caledonleather.ca/ They have been around a long time and are well respected in the business. I don't know how much business they do off their website. Best is to phone them. I know they have lots of stuff that isn't on their site. Ken is the guy there to talk to. If he doesn't have it, he'll know where to get it or who to send you to. Quote

Members steve hansl Posted March 20, 2011 Members Report Posted March 20, 2011 I tried out Caledon sales for the first time because of what Tandy sent me.They sent me a couple of Hermann Oak sides that are just beautiful.Ken is great to deal with and he says they stand behind there products 100%.When I need some more leather I will be calling them again. Members steve hansl Posted April 2, 2011 Members Report Posted April 2, 2011 I finally started using the HO I got and am real happy ,its the first time I have bought it.Sure takes the dye nicely. Then I got a flyer from Tandy advertising European bends for $99 and figured I would try them again,I got their last 8/9oz and was pleasantly surprised, real nice clean piece of leather. The last time I ordered they messed up my order so I was a little ticked off,I guess I am all better now.
