lute Report post Posted March 18, 2011 Anyone know of a source for the elastic that is used on the side of tall riding boots? Seems a lot of boots now have a band of elastic running from the ankle to the top of the boot which gives a better fit. It's about two inches wide, and rthe difference is that it stretches sideways rather than lengthwise. I've been looking for this stuff for quite a while and the suppliers tell me it doesn't exist or they can't get it.

I had a roll of 4" that I bought at an auction years and years ago but I have no idea where it came from back then. About 5 years ago I tried to find some for a job and I did track down a manufacturer in NZ, I think, but had to buy about a 100 yards or so and it just wasn't worth it. That's all that I can offer. Try the 'net for makers of the stuff, you may get lucky. Tony.
