Members khaki Posted March 24, 2011 Members Report Posted March 24, 2011 this is my first day on this site! not sure what the Topic Poll option is, so am ignoring it. I have been trying to improve my finishing techniques on making leather fashion bags. I look at a lot of nicer bags in stores and I notice that they have Edge-Kote type edging that sometimes matches the color of the leather - orange, red, blue, whatever. I have not found edge-kote in any colors other than brown and black. Would artists' acrylic paint work the same? Or, add something to the paint to make it "hang on" better? I haven't tried art paint yet, and wanted to see if anyone else has a solution. thanks, Khaki Quote

Members khaki Posted March 24, 2011 Author Members Report Posted March 24, 2011 Try acrylic paint , it works for me Thanks! Wonder why there aren't colored edge-kotes? do you have any tips for applying? I usually use narrow sponge paintbrushes, but they're expensive. thanks. Quote
