Members myleatherstrap Posted April 7, 2011 Members Report Posted April 7, 2011 Currently i have made watch strap and i would like to have the edge like many others. I have use different kind of edge dye like kote, gum tragacanth, beeswax but none of them (except beeswax has some effect) to produce rubber feel(hopefully i have describe it correctly). Recently i have seen Fiebing Edge Dye & Applicator, anyone has use it before. Can anyone kindly provide me some advices. Thanks. Quote

Members Jazznow Posted April 7, 2011 Members Report Posted April 7, 2011 i had problems with finishing edges, too. At my last series of bags i had some success with gum tragacanth. i aplied it with a brush (only a thin coat) and let it dry for 1 minute. Than i rubbed the edge with a piece of an old cotton belt (pressure and speed). I repeated that for several times until the edge was nice and smooth. Maybe that helps a little... Jonathan Quote
