Members PHIPPS CRAFTED LEATHER Posted April 10, 2011 Members Report Posted April 10, 2011 Has anyone used or seen the orange dummy guns that BlackHawk sell? I have seen them advertised on Amazon.com for 19.99. Quote
Members Tac Posted April 10, 2011 Members Report Posted April 10, 2011 I recently purchased two of them... One for a 1911 and one for a Beretta 92. Both are appropriately sized and will work for holster making purposes just fine... I recently sold the 1911, as it was a copy of a railed gun, and I needed one without a rail... Still using the Beretta 92 though, with no problems. Too bad they don't make more models/versions.... they would save me a lot of money on Blue guns. -Tac Quote -Tac "Well, I guess we did our good deed for the day Mayor"-Wyatt Earp "Tombstone"
Members Eaglestroker Posted April 10, 2011 Members Report Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) I recently used the railed 1911 and it worked well for me, I need to pick up their Beretta 92 to keep in the drawer. Edited April 10, 2011 by Eaglestroker Quote
Lobo Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 I picked up a couple at a sporting goods store's clearance sale, the 1911 with rail (cocked & locked) and the J-frame 1-7/8" (shrouded hammer model). Both have been completely satisfactory over a year's use. Quote Lobo Gun Leather serious equipment for serious business, since 1972 www.lobogunleather.com
