Members KimB Posted April 14, 2011 Members Report Posted April 14, 2011 I have a leather tool that I desperately need help finding. It was purchased from Tandy Leather twelve to sixteen years ago. It is stamped with a number 4. From what I gather it's a creaser. The problem is I can't find one that has this particular shape. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Sorry about the pic quality. Members Leatherimages Posted April 14, 2011 Members Report Posted April 14, 2011 Kim that's a Single Edge Creaser. Proleptic.net (of Shop Talk Publishing) often has them for sale in their tool swap section. Bob Douglas (of Douglas Tools) does also. I also took my old Tandy bone folder to the sand paper and shaped one for myself once upon a time. You might try that also. Quote

I will be sure to check their websites frequently. The biggest problem I'm having is finding one that's not pointed on the end. The one I have is more rounded. I actually took a baby spoon to the sander and stuck it in an old wooden handle from a different tool. It works okay, but not as good as the original, if you know what I mean. Quote
