Members Cousin Steve Posted April 16, 2011 Members Report Posted April 16, 2011 Hi Guys (& Girls) Name's Steve (the 'cousin' bit came a long time ago when a circle of drunk mates tried to work out who would be who if we were all one family, it got confusing and the handle stuck) I live in North Yorkshire (UK) but come from Newcastle. I ride a Triumph Café Racer at the moment but have owned allsorts of Motorbikes from Ducati to Harley (the FXR was the best of the bunch) and bike luggage was what restarted the leatherworking addiction I made a set of saddlebags/panniers for the Triumph that have 2" wide zips (as I got sick of breaking cheap zips on other sets) these zips were meant for theatre backdrops and growl deeply when undone, but they've not broken yet. The're a bit daft but they work well and amuse people, much like their owner I've been leatherworking since I was a teenager on & off with a steady improvement over the years. I started off with a leather bag I bought that was stuffed with scraps I didn't want to throw out so made 'stuff' and it just sort of snowballed from there. Anyway next project is a stitching horse which I think there's some good info on here for....somewhere. Anyway I'm gibbering, Hello & I hope we all get on well together. Quote

Members Jacobite Posted April 17, 2011 Members Report Posted April 17, 2011 Hi Steve; Welcome to the Forum, only been here a couple of weeks myself and come from a bit North of you near Glasgow. I'm still reading as there is so much to take in, makes you realise that what you thought of as decent work before actually wasn't. Nice friendly bunch and plenty to see and do. Gus Quote
