Members danielb Posted April 19, 2011 Members Report Posted April 19, 2011 Especially Horween Shell Cordovan, which is conditioned a lot. I need strong and flexible glue for watch strap. The one I was using for other hides simply does not work. Would be grateful for any hints&links. Of course the less toxic the better:D Quote
Moderator Art Posted April 19, 2011 Moderator Report Posted April 19, 2011 For oily leathers, you need to use an Aliphatic resin or PVA glue made for the shoe industry. I use the Fiebing's Tanner's Bond. Rough up the area before application and let dry a few minutes before sticking together. It is NOT a contact cement so stabilize the joint while it dries.
