Members Wishful Posted April 24, 2011 Members Report Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) I was considering making a holster (The Tandy minimal) but want it to match a knife/magazine holder that I made with cow hide (hair on) on the front. Do you think the cowhide only would be OK for the front of the holster but still use the kit back (about 7-8oz)? If so, do you think I should use a backer or stiffener (what do suggest?) As an alternative I suppose I could do this with cowhide as an inlay only and put a 1-2oz liner. Any thoughts? Thanks. Edited April 24, 2011 by Wishful Quote

Also, did you sew the inlay by hand or machine? Thanks. Quote
Members DCKNIVES Posted April 24, 2011 Members Report Posted April 24, 2011 I line all my holsters with veg-tan completely, this particular one is lined with 4-5oz. I handsew everything.Dave Quote
