is fiebings hi-liter good to use to get that antique finish. had some made in the pre 70's about ready to run out and in need of some more. any sugestions. do not want to use anyeco products, don't like them.

I use Fiebings Hi-Liter. It is a less "thick" than the antiqueing from Tandy.

It is a wee bi more tricky to work with, a very "light hand" when whiping of excess (or it dryes in patches...This is the best way I can explain it) and an airgun for the sealer is the best way to go. Even if it is tricky I use it a lot and would be lost without it :-)
