Members Simon K Posted May 11, 2011 Members Report Posted May 11, 2011 Hi guys, I've been thinking of making up a few leather belts but was wondering which cut of leather is best to use? Double shoulder? Butt? Or something else? If I'm lining the belt as well, should the lining be from the same cut i.e. both belt and liner be from butt etc? Thanks, Simon Quote
King's X Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 The butt closest to the tail. A piece called a 'culatta' are sold specifically to belt makers for this purpose. Any supplier worth their salt should have a good idea as to what cut is best for belts. Quote
