Members Leerwerker Posted June 1, 2011 Members Report Posted June 1, 2011 Hi everybody, I was contacted by someone in South Africa who had purchased a Billy 2shews portrait of Nelson Mandela - different from the one I have seen on the gallery here. I attach a picture of the one she has. She asked me to help put a monetary value to the art work, I assume for insurance purposes. Any help? Moderator Johanna Posted June 1, 2011 Moderator Report Posted June 1, 2011 Wow, Johan, I wouldn't know where to start guessing. I know what his pieces sold for before he became ill, but that would surely change now that he's retired. Made me think about the pieces of his I have- I could NEVER sell them, and if they were destroyed, no amount of money would make me feel better. If she wants to sell the piece, it would be easier to determine a price because "value" is simply what someone is willing to pay. Good luck with this one, and let us know how it turns out. Johanna Quote You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. - Mark Twain
