These are the knife pouches that when you pull the knife out it opens automatically. Does anyone have an idea on how these are made?

Well jayjay, here's the one I did. It sits horizontally on the belt, and if you have a do-lap (you know, a tummy that do lap over your belt) it can be spooky.But .... it's fun to play with.

The blade actually closes only as far as the upper rivet will allow, and make sure that the leather covers the tip that is pointing upwards.

I think I was just playing around and grabbed some scrap.....it looks like fairly heavy stuff, maybe 9oz. It probably doesn't need to be that heavy. Mike

Cool thanks is the pivit point toward the rear of the sheath just a rivit or some other type of pin? If its a rivit is it covered with leather to keep the knife blade from scraping on the metal rivit and dulling the knife edge?
