The best option is to have some money set aside and start browsing 'for sale' ads, antique stores, etc. Next best.....save up enough to get the real deal from the start. Quote
Members rawhide1 Posted June 25, 2011 Members Report Posted June 25, 2011 I would find a old Osborne model 84 or Chase splitter. They would split your tooling leather good. Make sure your blade is good and sharp. I don't think any pull thru splitter will work very well on any leather that's soft. Mike Quote
