equiss Report post Posted July 11, 2011 How much do you guys charge for 6oz and 8 oz tooled flasks? I have three options I need help pricing in both the 6oz and 8oz size 1) flask with a few words - papa's punch; somthing like that then background stamped for the rest 2) flask with one flower and a few leaves, fairly large to cover most of front, rest background stamped 3) basket stamped what would you charge for these at both the 6 oz and 8oz sizes? I don't have any done so I don't have pictures, I am also looking for a flask supplier - anyone have any ideas on that? Someone brought me their flask, and wanted grape leaves/vines - they were a regular customer and I also charged them 30.00. For that pattern, had I bought the flask myself, I'dve charged them more. The tandy flasks are ok, but I want to find a supplier for some nicer ones.....but needed some ideas on what people charge for them - I honestly have no idea where to start - thanks again! Deb59 Report post Posted July 12, 2011 I have not made any flasks for sale, however I did make some for my Son-in-Law to give to his groomsmen for thank you gifts. I got the flasks from The Major here on Leatherworker.net. The price was very reasonable and he had a number of different sizes and shapes. Might send him a PM message. bkingery Report post Posted July 15, 2011 I get my 8 oz flasks at walmart for 4.99 and charge 40 for stamping and 50 to 60 for tooling depending on design and the amount I have to design and that includes saddle stitch. For lacing I usually add ten and sometimes throw it in if I like the person AND their not onery with me. I have found a few sites on e-bay that sell flasks but the shipping is usually outrageous. I did a market a while back and did notice that Id didn't have enough or actually any things for men, so thought maybe this would be a good item - at least a good converstation piece - thanks again! Sometimes they are in tha camping equipment and other times I have seen them on the rack at the checkout. Anyone have a sorce for the metal flask funnel?
