steveb Posted June 6, 2008 Author Report Posted June 6, 2008 Thanks all for the kind words. funny story about that belt - I gave it to a friend for a 50th bday gift based on a measurement she gave me. well she must have been holding the dumb end of the ruler cuz it came up 2in short. Now I make most of my belts with a long billet, and in in this case it is a damn good thing I did...lol measure twice, cut once i say...and now i say that to my customers also!!! Quote
Members shirleyz Posted June 6, 2008 Members Report Posted June 6, 2008 I love your stuff Steve. It's always very sturdy, and manly looking. Great finish work. Shirley Quote

First of all, very nice work!!! "Measure twice, cut once" is an old saying for carpenters (ask my brother who taught me a lot ). Just had a guy order a belt from me. Said he wanted a 34" waist belt for himself. OK, says I. I asked him to give me the belt he was currently wearing......measured 36" to the place he buckled it! Quote
