Members CustomDoug Posted August 15, 2011 Members Report Posted August 15, 2011 I've seen lots of picture of patcher machines setting on top of pedestal style tables, with the arm sticking out over the side and motor under the other side. Looks like they're fairly tall - are they used in strictly a standing position or are they adjustable maybe? Do they have a specific name (so I can search them out), or anyone sell 'em at a good price. Right now I'm using a "regular small" old singer treadle with a wooden top that I custom made for the 29K62 LongArm patcher, I like it but these pedestals look interesting too. Quote

I built me a pedestal stand, and made it so the patcher arm is at the same height as my JUki flat bed sewing machine table. I made it from 3/4" pine boards with a 1" birch plywood bottom and top. I also sneaked in an old sewing machine motor that was lying around in a dark corner of my shop. It took me a couple of hours to build and I didn´t spend much money on it - and it works! Members CustomDoug Posted August 16, 2011 Author Members Report Posted August 16, 2011 (edited) That's really nice oldtimer, I may go that route (thanks for the idea, pics) but in reality, with all the projects I have going on I'd rather not have to build something else. Maybe I'll just contact some local Industrial sewing equipt suppliers and see what's available. Just hoping there were some common suppliers to look at. I'm sure Toledo would have something - but looking for alternatives too, for comparison. Edited August 16, 2011 by CustomDoug Quote
