Members zikman Posted August 24, 2011 Members Report Posted August 24, 2011 This is one of my first projects. I got my inspiration from seeing some of these products, http://www.kentonsorenson.com/. I want to make a wallet or phone case for myself, and I want it to have that natural look. I have some veg tanned leather, but I don't know what oils or finishes to use to give it that look. I like that fact that it gets a little darker over time, with use. What products should I be using for this project? Thanks. Quote
terrymac Posted August 24, 2011 Report Posted August 24, 2011 If you want to retain the natural look, I would recommend Bee's Natural Saddle oil. It will not darken the leather as Neatsfoot or olive oil tend to do. At least that is my experience. According to his website, he is finishing with beeswax. Hope this helps. Terry Quote
