Red Kite Report post Posted September 2, 2011 Hi all, I don't really get on with ordinary tubular brass rivets, that is the single cap / double cap hollow variety. I've been using copper saddler's rivets as they're so very strong and I like the rustic feel of them plus wielding a hammer when peening them over is fun! Have spotted these all brass versions on eBay and am going to order some. Will my existing setting tools work? It seems that over here, we measure the size of these rivets differently from you good folks in the US. I would guess the diameter of the post or shank on my larger copper rivets to be around 4mm. Would the setting tool I use for these be ok? Brass Rivets on eBay Thanks for your help, Graeme
ferret Report post Posted September 3, 2011 Rather than paying for shipping you may be better sourcing rivets this side of the pond. Try http://www.sapphireproducts.co.uk/
