MADMAX22 Report post Posted September 25, 2011 Belts and holsters I use vegtan to line with. For my rifle slings and guitar straps I would line them with suede (or suede splits I guess in the correct term).
Reaper Report post Posted September 25, 2011 I use Horse Hide to line belt for a couple of reasons based in personal preference. 1. Down here in Florida with the Humidity it stands up to body sweat very well and will not stretch out as much over time. 2, It stiffens the belt better when hanging a Full Size firearm off of it, less twist.... Holsters I use 2/3 oz Vegtan to line with the flesh side in and sanded so it has a slight Felt feel to it. Then I rub in some KG Leather Treatment which makes it slick like Kydex, but does not remove the plush feel. I do dye the inside with a light coat before on most holsters also.
