Yorkie Report post Posted October 18, 2011 Has anyone got experience of using the ceramic blades from Tandy & how do they compare against the Al stohman HSS ones?
terrymac Report post Posted October 19, 2011 My experience with ceramic blades has not been good. If you really want a quality blade, contact Paul at Leather Wranglers. He puts out. IMHO, the finest blade on the market. If you are using a Tandy knife, let him know and he can adapt the blade to fit. They come sharp and ready to go to work. Hope this helps, Terry

Hope this helps, Terry Thank you Terry, just had a look at leather wranglers. I think I will get in touch, but will have to save my pennies first as I would also like one of their knives as well, I'm retired now over here in the UK. I don't only have to think about the cost price, but our government will stick another 20% on the total plus the delivery service will also stick around another $15.00 for their coffers. Cheers. Pete.

I have the 3/8 ceramic blade..its sharp if you strop it well... however I 'd like to use it for decorative cuts only because its too thick to cut small patterns...
