Members steelhawk Posted October 24, 2011 Members Report Posted October 24, 2011 The last two items I used my Vinegaroon on needed to be done more than once to get it all black. It is about a year old and was my first attempt at making the stuff. If it does get weak, what is the best way to get it back to normal? Also, what color should a good batch be? If there's still some metal in the container, add a little vinegar and it should revive it. mlapaglia Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Mine is a very dark Tea color. I made up a gallon and put most of it in beer bottles and then topped them off with CO2 and capped them. Hopefully it will help them keep. It helps to have old beer making tools around when it comes to storing liquids. Michael Quote The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering. Bruce Lee
Denster Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 I used some today that is over two years old. The only difference I noted is that it has lost a lot of it's smell. Mine is a very deep burgundy color. Quote
