Members pinkchaps Posted October 25, 2011 Members Report Posted October 25, 2011 I am in the process of making a rope can. I want to be sure the leather sticks to the can and doesn't move. Would ya'll suggest glue or epoxy to make sure it stays down for the long haul? Thanks! Quote
Moderator bruce johnson Posted October 25, 2011 Moderator Report Posted October 25, 2011 I rough up the can first. I use two thin layers of contact cement on the leather and one on the can. I let the second layer almost dry, hit it with some heat to tack up and stick down. I weight them at least overnight.
