Members Schpacko Posted November 10, 2011 Members Report Posted November 10, 2011 Hi guys A friend asked me if i could make a case that can hold up to 20 credit cards. I dont need slots or something like that, it would be okay if theres just one "room" for a big pile of cards, because these will be the cards you dont really use on a regular basis. Ideas? Suggestions? I was thinking about something like one of those cases they make for playing cards, but i'm not completely happy with that idea.... cheers Schpacko Quote
Members Wishful Posted November 10, 2011 Members Report Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) Are the plastic wallet inserts acceptable? Tandy wallet inserts those hold 12 and you can still have a few slots Edited November 10, 2011 by Wishful Quote
bison Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 I did something like that a while back for a customer. Start with measuring the thickness of 20 credit cards if you can. The guy I was building this for wanted it to sit on his belt, sort of like a holster with the slots cut out for the belt to pass through and sort of like a wallet with a top flap with concho snap and a bottom flap that opened out about 30 degrees. I've posted a photo below if that helps. This would hold about 8 credit cards, and an ID/license. I uses 7-8 oz for the back, 5-6 oz for the tooled section and pigskin for the accordian sides so the bottom flap wouldn't come out too far. Sorry I only have the one photo. Good luck. Dave Quote
Members BIGGUNDOCTOR Posted November 11, 2011 Members Report Posted November 11, 2011 Holy Cow! 20 CC's? No wonder the various economies are in a mess. My suggestion would be to grab a pair of scissors quick, and get chopping Maybe something on the lines of a money clip that grips the CC's. Quote

Dave Ah, that doesnt look bad at all. Definitely a good hint, thanks a lot. Holy Cow! 20 CC's? No wonder the various economies are in a mess. Well, maybe i should have written "various cards in credit card format." Quote
Members rblalock Posted November 15, 2011 Members Report Posted November 15, 2011 A billfold style but with a center "page" added (Picture a book with only one page). This will give you 4 page surfaces for 5 card slots each and exterior surface (front and back for carving). All additional space for thickness of pages and credit cards. It will be about 1/2 to 3/4 inches wider than a normal wallet - may be difficult to get out of pocket. Otherwise do a holder similar to a biker's wallet - 10 to 12 slots on each side. Quote
Members plross Posted November 22, 2011 Members Report Posted November 22, 2011 The ones I make hold 16 with room left for cash. Quote
