Members sinpac Posted November 15, 2011 Members Report Posted November 15, 2011 The one in the first photo is the way I got this pitman arm why I bought it. Pretty cobbled up. So I decided to make one up. This is a prototype the finish one will be made of hard Maple like the originals. The dimensions are as followed. Length 16 1/8" Thickness 1/2" From center of hole to center of hole is 13" The first set of holes the holes the treadle and fly will ride on are done with a 1/2" forstner bit. The second hole was done with a 5/8" forstner bit. These were cut on a drill press. If you don't have the hardware I know the wood inserts can be made and I am sure with a little brain power the metal hardware can be made. Quote "It ain't about how hard you hit.
