New To The Site From İstanbul(Turkey)

Recommended Posts

My name is Zafer and I live in Istanbul, one of the most beautiful cities in the world where different kinds of cultures, tastes, and histories meet each other. It is impossible not to be inspired by its amazing existence. I work in the textile accessories industry which helps me stay up-to-date with my designs.A while ago, while searching for a special gift for my friend, something sparkled in my mind, "Why not produce my own handmade gift?" Since childhood, I have been quite talented with hand crafts, but did not pay much attention to it. Then, I found a small piece of leather and started to sew a small but functional wallet. The result was quite amazing, and my friend liked it so much and encouraged me to make new designs. I went crazy with ideas people liked my designs. So, I decided to focus on hand made leather objects. I am so lucky because Istanbul is a fantastic place to find special kinds of leather in amazing colors and textures. It is so much fun to visit small leather sellers in our famous Grand Bazaar. Each time I go, I discover new materials that can be used in my products.

That's my short story about how I started. I really fell in love with producing my own items and people's interest in them from all over the world. So many thanks to leatherworker.net for giving me this chance! It is really very exciting to get in touch with new people from different cultures and regions and to communicate with them on a common matter.

Each and every product is designed, cut, sewn, and photographed by me from my home studio. My mum, dad, and sister are my biggest supporters. Thanks to them for their precious help! I hope you will like my designs!

:)
