Tree Reaper Report post Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) Very nice, if you have never used one before you'll love it. The one thing that may be a problem for you is the long bolt sticking out, it can catch the thread. I have the same problem with the one I built and I want to put a strap over the bolt that will hopefully allow the thread to slip past the bolt. Jerry791hd Report post Posted January 10, 2012 no i'm a very very green leather worker.... so i've never used one of these before but i've seen it used on some of the leather working video's i've seen... and thank you for the tip about the bolt.... i'm gonna try to find something to cover it up as well.... yea i did my very first stitching job a couple of days ago (without stitching pony) and yea i remember the thread getting caught on everything, scissors, awl handle, my shirt button, edges of the piece i was working on, it was a mess... lol Very nice, if you have never used one before you'll love it. You might find it a little hard to stitch with the jaws of your stitching pony being broad and flat instead being narrow and tapered. Here is an example http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.wrtcleather.com/1-ckd/tutorials/stitch_pony.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.wrtcleather.com/1-ckd/tutorials/_stitchpony.html&h=422&w=515&sz=23&tbnid=sqi4YJ6wGe6MlM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=110&zoom=1&docid=nSRNvL7ipifJXM&sa=X&ei=0KQLT_mJCsa9gAf4lZyWBw&ved=0CCgQ9QEwAA&dur=
