Members Dwing8 Posted January 12, 2012 Members Report Posted January 12, 2012 Hi, I've been thinking about trying a crocodile ridge braid like 10 string with a double backbone in two colors. Is it possible to keep the ridge all the same color? Thanks,Dano Quote
Members roo4u Posted January 14, 2012 Members Report Posted January 14, 2012 i have done a croc with a second color that remains in the center but it comes out in a two tone color because you must work in the stands from the outer part of the braid. It is described in bruce grants encyclopedia Quote

Thanks,Dano Ron Edwards "Advanced Leather Work Vol 1" Interesting Braids And Flat Plaits, covers just about every aspect of Croc ridges including the "applied" type that will do anything you could want. Members Dwing8 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Members Report Posted January 14, 2012 Thanks for the replies, I had an idea of doing two 5 string flat braids and then joined them together with a double loop lace like I do a wallet edge with some plain cotton cord and it came out looking pretty good. I'll do one for real and try to learn the better way in the near future. I'm kind of busy at the moment with a bathroom.......LOL. Thanks again! Dano Quote
