Members cdf Posted January 31, 2012 Members Report Posted January 31, 2012 I prefer a natural oil finish , followed by Fiebings bag Kote or Tan Kote , followed by wax . Grows old gracefully , and patinates nicely . Neatsfoot is variable as all get out , as a result i have often used raw linseed oil ( boiled can go rancid ) . The result after a light application is slightly darker and richer than neatsfoot . Are there any other options i should consider ? Chris Quote
Moderator Art Posted January 31, 2012 Moderator Report Posted January 31, 2012 Hi Chris, I use Montana Pitchblend paste, 2 coats if necessary. I follow that (after dry, 1-2 days) with Leather Balm with Atom Wax, again 1 or 2 coats and buff. I used to use Pecard's but the MPB is all natural and worked as well, so I went in that direction unless I know someone is allergic to propolis.
