brmoore134 Report post Posted February 27, 2012 Hi, everyone I am just starting my leather working. Some stuff about me I am 17 ride bulls and fight em and I am gonna start a apprentice ship with a family friend who has been leather working for many years and still does. Although her working mainly is around horse tack and repair. I just want to be a well rounded leather worker able to do most things and whatever I do I plan on taking time to make it look great. But back to the discussion I am looking for good tools to start with, I will mainly be making belts and small things to get the hang of stuff then when I get the hang of how stuff works I plan on moving into the larger more complex designs and projects. Thanks to everyone for help
benlilly1 Report post Posted February 27, 2012 Sounds like you have a plan! And to have the opportunity to apprentice in the leather working field. That's just great. Good luck on getting your tools. We'll be waiting to see photos of your creations.

Thanks to everyone for help i just posted a great set of hole punches that will do 3/4"-1/8" and that will cover almost anything you will ever need to do lol, i have a beveler i can throw in for ya too, i was asking 70 obo but ill do 60 shipped with the beveler and i can throw in some needles and thread and some leather scrap if you would like. if you have a graveyard around you can probably get a piece of super thick granite to work on for free, i know mine had some laying around but it would be way too much to ship
