Russ Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 My first moderately successful wallet completed. That applique' sewing is a LOT harder than it looks. The installation of the binding roll also caused the 'gator to turn over at the top where there wasn't any lining leather to give it some body. I fought it for awhile but still lost the lining at the top. But overall, I guess I'd give it a "C+." Now it's time to put it all away and get to some paying jobs Quote
Members chancey77 Posted March 9, 2012 Members Report Posted March 9, 2012 Hey Russ, Don't beat yourself up! You get an A for effort! I hate sewing machines...they are the DEVIL! And Lasers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Designed by the DEVIL! hahahahahaha First Sewing Machines...then...Lasers...then people who can't drive... in that order! LOL Quote
Members Cyberthrasher Posted March 9, 2012 Members Report Posted March 9, 2012 First wallet all together? Either way I have to agree that it's not a horrible outcome. As long as you learned where you were having problems and what to change for the next times. That's really all that matters when it's not a paying job. Honestly, most people wouldn't even see the problems that we do. Now, if I can get my first wallet to look anywhere near as nice, I'll pat myself on the back and say "job well done for your first try" Quote
