Moderator Art Posted March 9, 2012 Moderator Report Posted March 9, 2012 Brettuns Village has a good 1.5 x 3/16 Punch for $95. I have several of the tools he has made and they have held up well. The paint flakes off, but the tools are good. My CS Osborne arch punches, I have had for many years with no complaints. Art Can anybody recommend a quality 1.5" belt punch? My Tandy purchase didn't last too long. Quote For heaven's sakes pilgrim, make yourself a strop!
Members TTcustom Posted March 9, 2012 Members Report Posted March 9, 2012 My osbourne i have used since 1998 and it is still working great. I only hit it with a rawhide maul and I use a poundo board like surface on my bench to punch into. What did you hit that one with, the top is all mushroomed? mlapaglia Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Take it back to Tandy and have them replace it, then only use a Rawhide, poly or rubber mallet and have a poundo board or plastic cutting board under it. It should last a lot longer. Michael Quote The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering. Bruce Lee
