Members chancey77 Posted June 26, 2012 Author Members Report Posted June 26, 2012 GUITAR ALL SET UP!!!!! What is really awesome is the leather and the way I designed the bridge hole now has NO EFFECT ON THE SUSTAIN!!!! I was so relieved when we had 2 Telecastors and 2 amps and the sustain was only fraction of a second off, but that is the plastic nut that Fender put on the neck...now after I am done lacing it, the nut will be replaced with a Bone one, and we will modify the tone selector and add an orange cap. But it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Quote
Members Cyberthrasher Posted June 26, 2012 Members Report Posted June 26, 2012 Cool. You know I was really wondering about that too. Showed it to my wife last night and she just said "Wow!" Quote hellhoundkustoms.wordpress.com www.facebook.com/hellhoundkustoms www.etsy.com/shop/HellhoundKustoms

Members chancey77 Posted July 2, 2012 Author Members Report Posted July 2, 2012 That is incredible. The big question is, how does it sound? IT SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no difference in My Guitar players Nocaster and this one! Sustain dies out only about 1 second before his! And it is because of the Plastic Nut that is on the stock Fender Neck...but a bone one will quickly fix that problem and we may get 3-5 seconds more sustain. The leather had NO EFFECT on the tone. Members Bluesman Posted July 2, 2012 Members Report Posted July 2, 2012 Dude, not buying the " no tone loss" The wood is a major contributor to the tone equation. Now some really hot pickups, fat strings, like .011-054, high action and we may be talkin some serious bark. However you did a kick job. Gonna have to put that on the list. Way cool.
