Members antipaladin Posted March 18, 2012 Members Report Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) Traded some elephant for a nice thick piece of black shell cordovan and decided to make a personal gunbelt. This is 1 1/2" wide JE Sedgwick stirrup butt with a 3/4" horsehide strip stiffener sewn in the center, laminated with black shell cordovan. Sewn up with kevlar thread at 6 stitches per inch. This thing is too thick to use a standard buckle so I think I'll try a Ranger billet and chape. My fingers are a mess from 8 hours of hand stitching. Made a new awl blade from a spoke from an old umbrella I got at a yard sale. Still have to edge burnish this bad boy. Edited March 18, 2012 by antipaladin Quote
