taniaaust1 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 hi everyone i only just found this forum, i looked quite a few years or so back for a leatherwork forum but some how must of missed this back then, (could find nothing really online). i just love working with leather. i had weekly practical lessons on this for several years, (my dear leatherwork teacher who i first did leatherwork with 10 yrs ago, passed away last year). i've done a bit of most things eg carving, stamping, plaiting etc etc. i'll try to get some pictures of some of my past projects some time to put up here eg carved photo frame, handbags to simple stuff eg key wallets, belts etc My latest project (which im about to start) is going to be a whip someone wants me to make for them after seeing my leatherwork. (im kind of nervous about that as i've never done a whip before. Thanks to the late Ron Edwards whipmaking book.. hopefully i'll cut the leather out right etc). Anyway.. hi guys (that includes girls too )...

TomSwede Report post Posted August 1, 2008 (edited) Hello and welcome to the board! You'll find this place very comfortable and there's always a helping hand if you get stuck with something. Just hollar for help if needed, there's no dumb questions and people here are very inclined to help out each other and share their secrets. Very curious to see your work now, how great to have had someone to teach it to you. If someone hands you a donut, it'd be wise to say no but the coffee here is allright!
