Nikole Report post Posted March 23, 2012 So I currently buy lots from Tandy...unfortunetly the quality of the leather is not great and I need to find some supplies that are priced well and have GREAT quality. I am a little itty bitty business but I plan on being as great as Microsoft some day...well microsoft in relation to cowgirls and boys! I make breast collars, headstalls, nosebands and mostly cater to the blingy cowgirls. I also need to find out what is the best way to paint on leather and have it stay put well tolerating daily abuse such as horse sweat, mud, rain and dust. Thanks Hey! DoubleC Report post Posted March 24, 2012 Hey Nicole. I make similar items, and I use water based paints like the cova's but any acrylic will do. The thing is to water them down and put on more than one coat instead of having a thick glob on them. And put a good leather finish on them. Rod and Denise Nikkel Report post Posted March 24, 2012 Nikole Caledon Leather Sales in Calgary is a great place to get leather and other items. http://www.caledonleather.ca/ Give Ken a call and tell him what you need. If he doesn't have it, he can tell you where to get it.
