Hey folks,

I think the leather bug has finally bitten one of my boys!!! He is a big card player so when the Tandy newletter had a card case pattern last month, I reeled him in!!! He is 17 and did a leather knifecase a few years back at Scout Camp but I have not been able to get him to make anything since. Now that he has made the card case, he wants to make a sword belt and gaunlets.

He put a standard Tandy concho on the front and did a design on the back with his initial on it. The side pic shows the stitching and such.

I had him use a #7 roll marker and then punch the holes with a awl so the stitches would be good and strong.

I attempted to teach him how to dye and his came out better looking than my dyed projects!! LOL

He finished the case this morning. I am very proud of how it came out and wanted to show it off!

Tell your son ...nice job.  I am really going to have to try and make one of these myself.  Thanks for sharing.
