Tracym Report post Posted July 17, 2012 Very pretty. I was just looking for a knot that could slide - can you tell me what that knot is? And how do you keep the ends from eventually coming undone after it is slid back and forth for a while?
leatheroo Report post Posted July 18, 2012 the sliding knots are spanish ring knots with two passes....i always use a strong glue when finishing the ends...i feed the loose ends back through the knot and the glue will hold them secure...i never just cut the ends off. cheers
Arrow K Braider Report post Posted January 20, 2013 Pablo Lozano taught me a method where you back your standing end out until you can pass through the knot and replace it with your working end. It works best with anything a little fancier and larger than a spanish. so instead of your standing end only being under 1 or 2 with a long pineapple it might be under 5 or 6. The same goes with the working end. It is fairly straight forward and works great
curlyjo Report post Posted January 20, 2013 Whenever I finish a multi-string button, I always go under a minimum of 5 or 6 to bury the ends. Then I pull with pliers and cut with toenail clippers. (Don't tell the wife) Roll it some and the ends never showup.Brad
