IngleGunLeather Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Howdy all. Been a while since I've done any work, well leather work that is. But I do have a question that I'm hoping to get an answer for before beginning my next project. I recently bought myself a stainless Colt Commander and I am wanting do up a real nice avenger style holster with embossed gator or ostrich skin. I want go to with grey and black. Up to this point all I've done is solid coloring. The picture of the seat below is the look I'm trying to achieve. However, I want grey and black vice brown and black. Would this be achieved by solid dying the grey first, then block dyeing with black? Quote
Members benlilly1 Posted June 5, 2012 Members Report Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) I've never dyed embossed leather but I would think dyeing the gray all over and spray on the black around the edges would work best. Good luck! Edited June 5, 2012 by benlilly1 Quote
